Sun Stream Solar Geyser
SunStream Solar Geyser is a ETC (Evacuated Tube Collectors) or FPC (Flat Plate Collectors) type water heating system that utilizes solar energy to generate the temperature. The sunlight capturing unit of SunStream, installed on a terrace or open space absorbers the Sun Energy for the heating process during day time. The hot water is then stored in a large insulated tank which is in turn supplied for any application as desired even in the night.
The system runs completely without electricity and thus, drastically reduce your electricity bill specially during winters! SunStream Solar Geyser uses Thermosyphon principle to move water from collectors to storage tank automatically.
SunStream Solar Geyser system can still work in rainy and cloudy days if the overcast is not long (less than a day or two) as the system works on diffused radiation in the atmosphere.
SunStream Solar Geyser can also be integrated with an existing electric based water heating system that can act as a backup during the days when the overcast is long. The electric system can switch on if the water temperature from the solar water heater goes down below 40°C.

Glass tubes of ETC system then break as they is fragile. So the glass may need occasional replacement.
Scaling happens on solar water heaters regularly especially if the water is hard. So the collectors need regular cleaning using acid.
If the outside surface of water heater is painted, then it may need a repaint every 2-3 years to prevent corrosion.
